ABOUT THE SELECTED IMAGE: As a physician, I often get credit for performing miracles. But some miracles are those of faith and patience. This baby ran the incredible gauntlet of a complicated pregnancy, while his parents watched and waited and prayed for his safe entry into the world. They endured months of bedrest, multiple hospitalizations, and countless scans. And four weeks early, I had the privilege of holding him up to his father’s eyes for the first time. He was beautiful and perfect in every way, a testament to his parent’s faith and love – a true miracle.
